Cinema Basel West presents

Olympics for all.

When the world's cameras come to Los Angeles in 2028, the story that matters isn't the landmarks — it's the neighborhoods. We produce the host-city vignette series the broadcast needs, told by the people who actually build this city.

01 The Fit

Networks don't grow
local storytellers.
They find them.

The major broadcasters don't keep uniquely-embedded man-on-the-street producers on payroll. Their play is to mine for gold — find the trusted brand already rooted in the host city, vet it, and bring it on as work-for-hire for specific broadcast goals.

We are that trusted, vetted local brand — built in Hollywood, rooted in LA's neighborhoods, and ready to step into that exact slot for the biggest broadcast window this city will ever host.

Provenance

This isn't our
first Games.

Atlanta, 1996. Founder Kevin O. Clark was formally recognized for his contribution to the success of the Games of the XXVI Olympiad — the Centennial Olympic Games — with the certificate signed by the presidents of the International Olympic Committee and the Atlanta Organizing Committee.

Thirty-two years later, the Games return to the city we've spent those decades filming. The window is new. The track record isn't.

The broadcast committee playbook

A commentary update on where the broadcast committee conversation stands — the position as of January, revisited now. Sitting alongside the 1996 certificate, it puts the track record and the current thinking in one place.

02 The Series

The host city,
told by its keepers.

Every Games, networks deploy formulaic host-city packages: the highline overview, the national picture, where the city fits. This series delivers that need — then goes where the formula can't.

Instead of interviewing tourists outside an arena, our producers seek out generational residents — the street vendors, local historians, artists, and community organizers. Authentic accents, real slang, daily reality: the people who actually sustain the city's identity, on camera in their own neighborhoods.

03 The Vignettes

A pivot point,
caught on camera.

We're documenting one of the most famous communities in the world at its inflection — and every vignette feeds the network's whole property stack: local news, nightly news, the afternoon shows.

The long migration
The generational story of people moving from all over the world to California and Los Angeles — and how that migration built the city's social tapestry.

Food. Real estate and neighborhoods — from Beverly Hills and Silicon Beach to Compton, the Valley, and Palm Springs. Sports strength. The tech and music hubs. The diversity that makes it all singular.
