Train Los Angeles to run the signal.
A junior system for real-time, real-life broadcast operations, infrastructure and spectrum, pointed at the LA28 Games window.

The world's broadcast operation is coming to Burbank and Inglewood.
International Broadcast Center: the operational headquarters for Media Rights Holders, running for months before, during and after the Games.
Main Press Center operations and space for broadcasters' live stand-ups, beside the Opening Ceremonies, Swimming and Basketball.
“One of the world's largest temporary broadcast operations.”LA28, on The Ranch

"RF coordination is becoming more and more complicated because everything is wireless now and everybody wants to be wireless for everything."
Every camera, mic, IFB and intercom shares the same limited spectrum.
New Wi-Fi in 6 and 7 GHz is, in Libin's view, encroaching on broadcast microwave.
At World Cup or Olympic scale, coordination is done beforehand, and done formally.
From first spark to junior engineer.
- 01Pre-Apprenticeship12 weeks · 180 h
Core foundation plus a taster of every track
- 02Apprenticeship2 years
~168 h instruction a year + paid on-the-job hours
- 03Junior Broadcast EngineerOn completion
Portfolio, capstone, FCC and SBE credential stack
- 04Innovation Fellows6 months
Advanced cohort building real tools, with proposed mentoring by Libin
The pre-apprenticeship is sized to the Workforce Pell window (8 to under 15 weeks, 150 to under 600 hours). Eligibility still needs state approval and proven outcomes.

Louis Libin

Four tracks. One job: manage, protect, propagate.
Signal, safety, networking, crew practice
Run the show: cameras, switching, streaming, comms
Build the plant: drawings, fibre, IP, power, compounds
Manage and protect the airwaves: coordination, policy, business
Propagate the story where LA earns its living
Capstone: a multi-venue live operation
32 modules. Every module carries its own outcomes, hours, assessment and badge, online or in person.

Five DPI digital badges carry over. DPI's roles carry over too: facilitators, mentors, jurors, sponsors, student teams.

The same modules, hands on.
Show that the invisible layer of live media is a career, and send each participant home with a next step.
Produce one real live show end to end, with a coordinated frequency plan, in three days.
A compressed in-person run of the capstone: a two-venue live operation with its own IBC.
Lab kit: spectrum analysers, direction-finding antennas, wireless mic and IEM systems, intercom and IFB, switcher, encoders, PTP network, fibre termination. Facilitator guide and participant workbook included.
